2008 Calendar

January 16	Friends of Cloth meeting, Jan. 2008. Friends of Cloth meeting Friends of Cloth meet to discuss future events and programming for Cloth Fiber Workshop. 6pm.
January 26	Cloth's winter/spring 2008 semester begins.
2nd Monday of every month	"Craft On" monthly get together This free get together is held the second Monday of every month at Cloth. Participants are encouraged to bring whatever project they're currently working on and join other craft lovers in this evening of fun! 6 pm–9 pm.
April 25–May 24	37 Clearwater by Heather Allen-Swarttouw, one of the exhibitors at "Personal Expressions: Quilts." Exhibits at Cloth: "Personal Expressions: Quilts" A show of quilts by Cloth instructors. Opening: Friday April 25, 6 pm–9 pm. Join us for refreshments and meet the artists. Regular hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 10 am–6 pm.
May 10	Fiber Day at the Folk Art Center Fiber artists from the Southern Highland Craft Guild and other area guilds provide hands-on learning. BZDesign will offer a block printing demonstration. Saturday 10 am–4 pm.
May 11	Fiber Day Fashion Show The Folk Art Center is hosting a fashion show featuring clothing and accessories designed and handmade by members of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. The show will include wearables made by Cloth Fiber Workshop instructors. Sunday 1 pm & 3 pm (two shows).
July 17–20	Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands Meet Cloth director Barbara Zaretsky and purchase BZDesign home furnishings and wearables. Location: The Asheville Civic Center in downtown Asheville, booth #110 (downstairs in the Arena). 10am–6pm Thursday through Saturday; 10am–5pm Sunday. Admission $6.
July 19	Cloth's summer/fall 2008 semester begins. Register for a class or workshop today!
August 1–August 29	Exhibits at Cloth: "Surface Design Techniques" To celebrate "Surface Design Month" Cloth will exhibit works by regional textile artists. To submit your work, download the application form (PDF).
October 16–19	BZDesign's booth at the Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands. Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands Meet Cloth director Barbara Zaretsky and purchase BZDesign home furnishings and wearables. 10am–6pm Thursday through Saturday; 10am–5pm Sunday. Admission $6.
